Yes, Vancouver has the highest housing price tag in Canada. It has been unaffordable for over 20 yrs so it is really nothing new. Like everything else, SET GOAL! If you set goal to buy an iphone, an ipad, a Coach bag, now, set goal & make plan to buy your aspirational home, an asset! Buy yourself a home so you can avoid the ongoing rental increase rate or moving around due to the Landlord changes his heart of keeping the rental property. I don't understand why people hesitate to buy themselves a home especially with today's incredible low interest rate. I often hear people said "I don't want to be a slave to my mortgage". Advertising has us chasing cars & clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy things we DON'T NEED. Buying a comfort home is something we "NEED" for the family sense of stability and yet we complain!
