How to do rental in DT?

A lot of Asians stay away from investing in DT area because of the language barrier. The easiest way to handle that of course is hiring a professional rental agent to look after it for you. Rental in DT is very different from anywhere else. DT is so cosmopolitan with mixtures of young professions, overseas executives & overseas students. You need to find a rental agent who understand that market, understand the tenant's mentality, different ethnic cultures n their situation in order to handle them properly for you.

If there are students interested in renting your property, they prefer furnished apartment. Be prepared that they don't have any credit for you to check n here's what u can do:

1) get a copy of a letter from their bank to confirm they have an account there.

2)They might not have checking account so be prepared they give you cash every month instead of 12 months post dated cheque.

3) get a copy of their passport, student Visa n school acceptance letter.

If you prefer long lease, u should leave it unfurnished.

I am trying to arrange my VIP nite for next weekend for the hot DT pre-sale project on Granville N Drake. Possibly one of the lowest price in DT area, starting at 300k. I'll be hosting it in Chinese so you don't have to worry. If you are interested, call Ms. Lin at 604-783-1928 to register.
